Remarks: The plant started commercial operations in Q1/2018.
As reported in early 2018, the plant will provide power for Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E). The CE&S project is part of the Kern County Dairy Biogas cluster, a group of 16 dairies with about 100,000 cows. Project partner is California Bioenergy LLC (CalBio), which will own and operate the plant. In April 2018, the California Energy Commission (CEC) has approved a USD 3 million (EUR 2.4 million) grant for a biogas upgrading plant. The plant will ugrade raw biogas to pipeline quality gas.
