Remarks: As of 01/2024, Australian construction company Saunders International Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with RNG producer Optimal Renewable Gas. The facility should produce 1.2 terajoules of biomethane per day from organic waste. In 05/2022, Optimal Group bought land in Westbury for the project.
In 11/2021, energy company Optimal Group and gases and engineering company BOC signed a MoU to explore the development of a bio-LNG plant adjacent to the existing BOC-ELGAS LNG plant in Westbury. The biogas plant should process 2.4 terajoules of waste per day to produce biomethane, which should then be processed into bio-LNG.
