Remarks: 02/25: Ence has secured project financing from Spanish banking group BBVA for its biomethane plant in La Galera. With this investment, ENCE plans to modify the plant’s production process.
12/24: Ence Biogás, subsidiary of Ence Group, has acquired the biomethane plant in La Galera. The company plans to upgrade the plant to meet its environmental standards.
In 08/2022, works are underway to connect the biomethane plant by Biometagás to the Enagás grid as an injection permit has now been secured. The plant has a capacity of 4 million nm³ of biomethane annually.
As of 07/2021, AGF Ingeniería de Procesos is currently delivering the biomethane equipment for the conversion. The plant should start operations in August and become fully operational by September.
In 03/2021, gas grid operator Enagás has signed an agreement with the companies Infraestructura Biometagás and Biometagás La Galera to connect the plant to the national grid. Infraestructura Biometagás will own the pipeline that connects the plant to the Enagás network. The plant will be upgraded to produce 50 GWh of biomethane annually by treating 150 tpd. Biogas engineering company AGF Ingeniería de Procesos will provide the upgrading technology. The connection should be completed in 2021.
Reported active in September 2020. Production at the plant will increase gradually until full production capacity is reached by the first half of 2021
